Because finding music shouldn’t be a chore.
There is always a new album, a new tour, new album campaign or artist being promoted as the next it thing in the music industry. What the music industry needs more of is inquiry, independent voices and discussions about the music.
Sync Publication are not snobs about music, always open-minded, self-critical and willing to be sceptical about anything that we think might be just a little bit ‘algorithmic’.
That’s not to say you have to be telling people what’s important, exactly. But you should at least try and draw out the best, try and experiment and learn what’s possible and what’s not, try and introduce our readers to the sort of stuff they wouldn’t find otherwise.
Independent music deserves more than a passing mention. It deserves a good listen.

I’m chatty, curious and will always be ready to give my opinion. I want to discuss what makes a track great, explain why an artist catches my eye and share what I think is worth getting behind.
