How are you all doing? The new season is rolling in and I’ve got plenty of things on board to share with you. I’ve revised my wardrobe for summer-friendly fashion (because it’s hot when it’s not raining where I live). If you know me you’ll definitely get it, I’m a HUGE fan of the athleisure trend, even before it got conceptualized as a fashion trend. For this new season, I’m updating my athleisure style by switching to skirts, yes you heard it right skirts! Honestly, skirts have always been a struggle for me. I’ve never liked wearing them and still don’t prefer to often times. I’ve lived with a fallacy that they don’t look right on me for some bizarre reason. I love the idea of jogger skirt but haven’t been able to find a decent one that didn’t look utterly absurd until I found this…
I was never a fan of skirt trends until now. This grey trimmed rib waist-line with a drawstring is designed from the Koovs house. This jogger skirt is a definition of comfort and style for all my summer and in-between weather days. I thought of wearing this sporty skirt with an off-shoulder blouse in grey (just following the monochrome trend here). Keeping myself low-key on accessories, I just wore a floral embroidered choker and left my hair open for a more laid-back look. I chose to carry a burgundy leather-finished studded sling bag and wore my black and grey Nike running shoes. This look is appropriate for a day out in the city, shopping spree, casual get together with friends, meeting your special one, a lunch date, or when you go for a lazy Sunday brunch or a matinee movie show. Jogger skirt has a very relaxed feel and this is definitely ruling the athleisure movement.
Look 2: Jogger Skirt for Evening
My second look with this jogger skirt is chicer and a complete evening approach. I wore a black satin-touch camisole with cross-over details on the neck and replaced the sling bag’s belt to a mini bag with handle. I’ve left my hair brushed here (since I’m too lazy to do my hair in a perfect pony) but, you can go for a top knot or a nicely tied high pony.
The waistline is supported with a drawstring and broad elastic. It gives an illusion of a belt and a drawstring. Jogger skirts can be worn with cute blouses (by tucking it inside for a more formal look). I like wearing my jogger skirt with basic tees by tucking it neatly and then pulling out for more hassle-free get-up-and-go times. The very versatile jogger skirt can look modish by following the layering rule. Wear a shrug or a cardigan over a camisole and you’re ready to take this look to work. Jogger skirt is a no-brainer one of the most adaptable fashion trends of the new season.
