Wishing all my beautiful people a very Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope my fam here is doing great! In the integrity of Valentine’s Day, I planned to celebrate my day in a bit unusual way. Being happy from within is the most wonderful feeling. What exactly keeps you healthy and happy? I looked back at what I wrote 2 years ago and replicated most of what I wrote in 2017, as my thoughts have not yet changed much. Hence today’s post is about 5 things that make me happy.
Happy Issue: Kicking in 2018
My focus in 2018 continues to spend as much as possible with both immediate and extended family and friends, and actively work in my husband’s new project. An arduous January demanded fitness and resolutions that you now know are impractical. February is a breath of fresh air! This post celebrates happiness; be it a little joy or about an experience, new feel-good vibes or more intrinsic like a peace of mind. From partying all night long to visiting a happy place like a park and adoring flowers, this post is very personal and special to me when I’m sharing with you all. I’m attempting to be a harbinger of joy. This is how I calm my storms of work and matters and I’ll show you how you too can create your happy space.
I find my happiness in small pleasures like visiting a park or a zoo. Escaping from any human interaction and talking to your own soul is soothing. I took a day off from work and walked down to this beautiful Agriculture University’s garden zone.
1. Be grateful
Being thankful for whatever you are and whatever you have produces a lot of dopamine – brain’s happy chemical. Train your thoughts to see a positive side of life and in few days you’ll see the difference.
2. Take Break
Monotony is dangerous than anything else in this world. Plan your day ahead so that you don’t need to work overtime. Working intensely triggers anxiety and that leads to dullness. In 2018, make sure you work hard and rather than partying harder, take a break to rejuvenate.
3. Make decisions
Making a decision might cause stress at first but believe me, you’ll feel way more confident later. Don’t worry even if you fail at making a ‘good enough’ decision. You always learn and that’s how you grow.
Exercise proportionally effects your happy factor. It is a mood booster. That endorphin rush we get from the activity is unbeatable. Furthermore, you’ll start loving your body.
Hobbies and all require some extent of commitment. But, when you are busy running errands, developing a one and dedicating to one often takes a toll. So, why not just sing or dance? Singing or dancing can lower the tension and make you supercharged and happy.
Now, you let me know what things make you happy? It could be anything, a flower from someone you love or even a cake baked by your bae. This Valentine’s Day, let there be all love and all glee!
