It’s been weeks since Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2017 took place. While the winter fashion trends has already set the mood for winter festive – all bright and bold ❤And just when the Fashion houses are stacking up with ‘fresh arrivals’ I recalled all the glamdrome that drew me away. In this post, I’m sharing the snippet of the latest the most glamorous Lakme India Fashion Week 2017.
Fashion for Fall has always been fascinating for me. Shaking off the whites, pastels and everything Summer/Resort, new season is eagle-eying a fresh take on florals, bare-shoulders, layering, metallic, enhanced sleeves, ruffles, embroidery, white & gold.
5 Days Of Fashion At Lakme India Fashion Week
I was super excited about the guest invitation from two of my favorite fashion designers for the show in Mumbai. Being first to see the ace fashion designers’ work is very inspiring. This is a privilege!💃With all zeal and zing, I walked into the magical world of fashion at St. Regis and was mesmerised to see the themes for winter this year. But, rather than getting carried away in that moment, I choose to cover the entire show for all of you folks (claps 👏) And as promised, I’m putting up the trends that you’ll never want to miss.
HiLet’s start with some androgyny vibes – this Gen Next designer Sumiran Kabir Sharma presented his Fall collection with sharp, edgy cuts and tailored silhouettes. Akshat Bansal’s B: Loni was a classic black and white monochrome affair. Hence, prepare to see more black and white affair this season. Another stunner Abhishek Paatani mastered the athleisure trend and brought vivid colors in bombers, joggers, hoodies and shorts and so you’ll now enjoy flaunting your gym/sports ground💯.
Whereas, Masaba Gupta symbolized Indian ethnic with bright pink and pale blue lehenga and sarees (bride-to-be here? You can know pick that bubblegum pink lehenga your aunt rejected for being gaudy😸💁). Anavila Mishra pumped up the season’s vibes in hues of grey, olive and earthy tones. The modernized saree from her collection is startling! Kazingmei set the runway ablaze with high-end leather love.
Glimpse of Lakme India Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017
The sustainable fashion is having its moment right now. Joining the bandwagon is Ruchi Tripathi and Jaya Bhatt for Indigent. I dare you to go all out in their Indigene line, trust me, they are nailing the winter fashion game STRONG! Rahul Mishra scoured the runway with floral and nature-inspired embroidery. One of the exceptional menswear designer Narendra Kumar gave a major throwback to florals in tie-up jackets.
On the other hand, Divyam Mehta kept it cool with Dhoti pants and blazer teaming that is instant eye-candy. Gaurav proved that cropped jackets are just not for women – Khanijo has the festive season’s trend sorted with cool cropped jackets. Ujjwal Dubey’s Antar Agni jammed up the asymmetrical silhouette. Since Anuj Bhutani led the most assuring closet essential of the season – you’ll see more of cape and flared pant. Man of the show Manish Malhotra paraded his customized suits for upcoming festive season. In addition, Sahil Aneja concluded the glamorous week of trends by striking a fresh combo of tailor-made and sporty luxe.
So now you know what colours and trends to look out for the festive season.
